THE STORYBOARD CALLED LIFE

Hollow

I know you can all relate with me in this: desire. Sometimes easily quenched like now – my fingers yearned to write (even if it’s past midnight and I have work in the morning) and here I am. Other times a bit more out of my reach like when my feet are itching to travel. And of course the “deeper” desires for intimacy, comfort, love.

But deeper than even those, there’s an ache in my heart. A longing for something that I don’t know. A great, unexplainable restlessness as if there’s so much that I want to do but I don’t know what. As if my heart is trying to express itself but words, movements aren’t sufficient.

I don’t have any wise words or resolutions for you all tonight, just some words that make up a frame, hollow of any insight. But I’ll leave you with the quote from someone who may have had similar thoughts, but is far more educated, wise and articulate.

If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this earth can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.
